They also make PCI 9500gt and 9400gt graphics cards (not sure about 9600gt) that can also be used a dedicated physx cards if you do not have an open PCI-E slot. These tend to run a lot pricier than their PCI-E counterparts though.

I have a question I have seen people use SLI bridge with a dedictated 9800gtx(example)
and a 880o gt is a SLI bridge needed or is it useless?

you can use sli without an sli bridge although it impacts performance
what you are seeing with the 8800gt and 9800gtx is SLI and not dedicated physx, both card run off the some chipset and (Im pretty sure) therefore can be run in SLI together, all what happens in that scenario is the faster card is downclocked to the speeds of the slower card, or if you clock the slower card to the fast you will not see a loss in performance here is the link to the post where I am trying to compile information for my physx post http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/5892...ysx-users.html

Updated to include information on using a non-SLI board (some confusion was expressed earlier, thought it was a good tidbit to add)

Hmmm... Does PCI-e Bandwidth affect performance when using PhysX? Such as x16, x8, and x4.

note that in 9.09 physx system software, you will be unable to use any card with less than 32 stream processors for physx (even though cuda works on it perfectly)

If you have 2x PCIe cards set to SLI, can you add a PCI card for PhysX?

No, because there isn't any cards out there that has PhysX on a PCI Graphics Card.

Ahem....
Should we combine FAQ's, or just have two floating around?
