Talking I´m running 9800GTX in SLI on a Rampage Extreme

Okey guys, here we go again, this time I run 9800GTX SLI on my Rampage Extreme.

(For you who missed when I ran SLI on my Rampage Formula, can read about it here.

This is what you want when you have rebooted after the "SLI hack".

SLI capable system, yes indeed, lets open NVIDIA control Panel and choose "Enabled SLI", notice the X58 in the CPU-z, the thing is, you fool the Nvidia driver to think it´s running with a X58 chipset.

Benchtime, single vs SLI.

Rampage Extreme, E8600 @ 500x8,5 4,25GHz, 2x2 OCZ Platinum LV 1600C7 @ 1600 777 21 1N tRD 8 Strong, XFX 9800GTX Black Edition

Single

SLI

SLI

The scaling is pretty awesome and ~38 avg fps in Crysis Warhead, Enthusiast @ 1680x1050 with two 9800GTX isn´t bad at all.

Well, the Rampage Extreme (X48 chipset) is more efficient then the 750i and together with the E8600 @ bus 500, 4,25GHz and some DDR3 ram @ 1600 777 21 1N it probably supports those 9800GTX in SLI better then your system does.

No offense but you´re probably bottlenecked by your Nvidia chipset, your "low" clocked E8400 and also your ram.

I run GeForce driver 190.62, which do you run?

you need 2 GPU's to do it and nvidia drivers. That's all.

As for you results, you got some very nice scores on all of these things. Well done bro, but why is your E8600 running so slow?!

It works on your MF also.

Follow this steps and you should be fine, http://forums.techpowerup.com/showpo...&postcount=923

You should also read forward in that thread for updated files.

Thank you.

Well, my E8600 don´t scale that good beyond 4,3GHz, to much volt to get it stable.

He need more then 2 Nvidia cards and nvidia drivers to run SLI on a MF.
