Default confused?

i tried to manual install the nvidia drivers but they won't let me?i checked and saw that im runnign the drivers released before 191.07, any ideas?

what ones are you trying to install and what ones are you going away from? if all else fails use driver cleaner to get rid of all the old driver files.

You did uninstall the older drivers first, right?

yes! and everytime i try and install the new drivers manually, it wont let me but when windows 7 installs them they are the older one's.

Odd, the 191.07 is the listed 64 bit Win7 drivers!
Are you sure you attained the 64 bit set as per your system specs?

yea! i go to XFXforce and obtain the 64bitvista drivers and try to install them but it gives me a weird error. i think thats why my card has gone to poop lately lol.

ok so i got them installed and now my gfx card is runnin hot! im talkin idling at 75C, yikes!

is this normal for the 9series cards with this update?

There is probably some dust in the cooler? It's highly unlikely that a driver causes that.

actually i've heard it does, and the XfX rep told me its normal? and no the cooler is a brand new one and i made sure its clean

install riva tuner & set fan speed manually to what your ears can tolerate.
