Default BFG GX2 is dead
So I bought a BFG GX2, and it arrives completely dead. If I have it in a rig, the rig won't even boot. I bought it online from someone, but it was still in original packaging with UPC code and serial number even.

Any tips on trying to RMA this beast? I've heard BFG can be a real pain with RMAs.

Did you try talking to the guy that sold it to you? I would try that fist. I hope not BUT its possible he might have just sold it knowing that it was dead.

Try to contact jonnyGURU and see if he can help. BFG was being a pain when I tried to RMA my PSU, but he got one sent out to me right away.

Maybe send it to NCspec if you don't have another rig to test it in, otherwise RMA. BFG is actually really nice for RMA's. Got mine back in just over a week. Took a week to send mine, and they did overnight shipping.

BFG has quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. And I've dealt with everything from 3rd rate Olevia televisions to DFI and Gigabyte.

Yup indeed, which is why when I bought my 8800GT I kept my EVGA as a backup.

You're best bet is to try and contact the original owner, which is hopefully the guy you bought from.

Just got off the phone with BFG, the guy there approved my RMA with only asking for the serial number. I'm gonna ship it off tomorrow, we'll see how it goes.
