Default Do you foresee nvidia coming back?

They've got some great cards, and they were the kings of the graphics realm for a long time, but it's looking more and more like ATI isn't going to be stopped. Nvidia needs to get their prices into a competitive range for their cards to be worth it, but it's just not going their way right now. What do you guys think?

Edit: I don't think i've ever started a thread that got so much publicity. Keep it rollin guys!

I think that based on the simple logic that because their top graphic cards still compete with ATI's newest series, their next gen cards will be better than ATI's. Which is based on the assumption that releasing a new series will be better than their previous series (obviously, no?).

As for pricing, who really knows. Their cards are usually priced higher for brand & for the slight performance gain they've had in the past. Although I believe it was some developer or Nvidia executive that said they won't make the same pricing mistake with Fermi, than they did with the GT200 series. So hopes are up for competitive prices.

THIS

ATI was about to die until the 4800 series and the 4890 in particular, kicked the SH- out of NVIDIA lol, the only thing they had left was the GTX 295 which costs an organ or two anyhow

ATI's 5k series is dominating, but NVIDIA has GTX 300's around the corner.

I thought it was the 4850 and 4870 that kicked the sh- out of nvidia, and the 4890 came in later to settle the deal.
