Both are stable for me so which is a better keep? This is for purely gaming purposes btw.
Realize that you are actually switching between the 1548 and 1566 shader straps. I would go for the 774mhz core and 1548 shader personally as the higher core will give more of a real benefit IMO.

I actually just did and I literally saw no FPS change. No temp change either. This is why it's a hard decision.

I know that higher shader clocks on those cards seem to help folding better than higher core clocks.

This is very true. Run higher shader clock and fold on your non-gaming time.

True, but I'm not folding so it doesn't make much difference for me.

EDIT: Actually, now that I looked closer, with option 2 I actually got a 6 FPS bump in my minimum FPS on Crysis Warhead's "Frost" benchmark. (Was 24 now 30). Does that make sense to anyone (for a 25 MHz Core clock bump and a 25 MHz shader clock drop)?

Well maybe you should GET folding!

I would but it's not my thing and I rarely keep my computer on because I work and travel 10 hours a day. The little time that I do have for myself I spend on upgrading, overclocking, and gaming. But that's another story for another time.....

Option 2 is a higher overclock.

774/728 > 1566/1548

1.0632 > 1.0116

6.3% OC vs 1% OC

I'm not sure what you are referring to. Where are you getting these numbers?

First option is 750 core but 1575 shader, second option is 775 core but 1550 shader. The difference between the two is either a 25 MHz raise to the core or a 25 MHz raise to the shader, but where one raises, the other drops. So the debate here is which one is more important for gaming performance.

He is referring to the "straps". There are many settings selectable between the straps, but any selection within the range of a given strap, will result only in that single strap frequency.

So between one strap, and another, although there are many "ticks" betwixt them, the card will only run at the given strap frequency.
