Default 8800GTX problems is my video card DEAD?

Okay, my 8800GTX is about 3 years old. I'm starting to see red lines on my desktop and if I play any games it would just show artifacts. I never overclocked this video card. I did reinstall the drivers but I still having the same problem. I am now using my 8600GT and its working fine now, but I much rather have my 8800GTX working. Anyone have any suggestions to have my card fix?

What are the temps like? Have you tried replacing the TIM?
If its three years old, and has seen a lot of use, it very well could be reaching the end of its life.

What are the temps on it? It could just be overheating. So dusting it and replacing the TIM would be a good thing.

If that's not the issue I would RMA it, if it is still under warranty. As a last resort you can bake it.

evga should have a lifetime warranty on it.

My bet is that you send it to them as an RMA they will send you back something better.
