You guys are right, I doubt it will lead to any significant performance upgrade, but I also got that board for expansion purposes. Mainly it's DDR3 RAM capability and it's 9 SATA ports. In my current PC I'm already using 5 of 6 SATA ports and I've been looking to add a Blu-ray drive as well to complement my system. I also have desire to add another high capacity HDD in the near future. I thought this board would afford me the expansion possibility I needed. Maybe I could even clock my CPU higher. Just a side thought, but if it's possible, I thought I'd explore that chance.
