Wow...that sounds like a project begging for voltage.

Good luck. Keep us updated.

I will never understand why some people will spend as much on an 8800 or 9800 with liquid cooling as they could a 285 or 295 with stock air, then overclock the crap out of it... without even beginning to come close to the speed of a stock 285\295. I mean, I do know what the title of this site is, but c'mon! you could crank up a 285 on air too, and get even better results...

Then again, to each his own. The pump\WB\rad can be reused, the card can't

Its just a hobby for some who like squeezing every last drop of performance out of something regardless of whats better at the same price out there. Its the same as what people do to older cars and hot-rods.

$15 for a $100 card (assuming it's a G92 GTS).

The GTS was the G80, most miserable thing to volt mod< long story short I failed miserably and now its broken on my floor with 2 resistors that fell off the PCB, possibly repairable or there go gut for caps and stuff, either way I traded a DVD drive for it

I met up with a guy after the next day and bought an unused EK 8800gt fullcover waterblock, swiftech 320mm rad, hose clamps, some cylinder acrylic radiator, 6 yate loon fans and a PNY 8800gt for 180 all with barbs, another great craigslsit steal

I havent killed the 8800gt (yet) but its volt modded to 1.21 and is pushing 850/2100/1080 without a VMEM wod (im afraid to do this just yet although I might pencil mod) , a couple hundred points of from a HWbot medal so time to bump that core voltage back up and debate this memory mod
