Default Question about XFX 9500GT 1GB. MONSTER CARD.

Today I sold my last Sapphire Radeon 4890 Toxic. Since I'm getting a Asus/MSI 5870.

So I got this XFX 9500GT 1GB from a friend but I had problems with getting my screen up with it. "Cannot display this mod" did the monitor say several of times.
Anyway, why didn't windows roll the screen resolution back when I changed GPU? Cause it was a real pain in the ass to get this working properly.

And another question, the 9500GT 1Gb is a "9- series" card? Just need to DL some drivers for it. If someone could be that kind in showing me a good driver for this card I would be great full. I'm running at a 64Bit OS (Windows 7). I didn't have this issue with my Foxconn Bloodrage and Win Vista x64. Cause I used it sometimes on that MoBo.

A picture is well suited...This is my Monster. Watch out, I'll bench the crap out of you everyone It's like the size of a biscuit.

Thanks for looking everyone.

You'll need to make sure you ahve all previous drivers properly uninstalled(uninstall, then drive cleaner in safe mode) and then DL and install the latest drivers for the card from nvidia's site.

Dude, I don't EVEN want any part in benching against that bad-dog you got right there.

Uh ... see now, look what you've done?!? My 295 just kicked my case door off, and it's quivering and mewling in the corner of the room! Several minstrels have gathered 'round it and are singing a song about 'Brave Sir Robin' or some such. Damn you, 9500GT!!!

9500GT is also the 8600GT btw
and it is a 9 series card
boot to safe mode, it should just set generic video settings then

that or, if you're in XP, press f8 repeatedly while booting
"enable vga boot mode" or whatever its called

I used to have a 9600gt I got for free, performed less than a 6 series card, so don't expect that card to run much more than Windows Aero scheme...

What are you talking about? The 9600GT is right behind the 8800/9800GTs. The 9600GT is actually not anywhere even close to the 9500GT in terms of performance, it's WAY faster. If you had a 9600GT that performed like a 6series, you've got issues...
