GDDR3 and DDR3 really have nothing to do with eachother. You will be fine.

For example, some GPU's use GDDR5, and we obviously do not have DDR5 RAM yet.

Here's your answer

Any memory that's on your GPU has no dependancy on your motherboard whatsoever; and vice versa as well, whereas DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 RAM won't make any difference in what video card you use in pairing with it.

buy it. and i'm fairly sure it uses gddr3 and not ddr3. my evga said ddr3 on the box, and gpu-z states it as gddr3. but what metallicamaster3 said is absolutely right.

That's kind of 'poetic license' on eVGA's end. It's kind of understood that the card is using GDDR3 so saying "my card has DDR3 memory" - while politically incorrect - is understood and accepted.
