Default i just got sent a defective replacement card
wow, after the money i spent to send my 7900gt through shipping with tracking and all the weeks waiting i finally received my 9500GT 512mb DDR3 video card but its defective. i replaced my media computer's ati 3450 with this 9500gt which looked somewhat brand new at the time of inspection, after doing a driversweep clean up on my ati files i quickly installed the 9500gt and drivers. when i tested sims 3 the game would load that first video with the circle logo and then freeze. i reformated the computer thinking it was a conflict of drivers only to find out it still happened. i then download furmark to test and what do you know, after only 1-3mins of stability test the whole computer kept popping up errors on 1024x768 tests.

i though XFX does through tests before shipping out their video cards. now i have to ask for a new rma number and wait another 2-3weeks again.

9500GT will struggle with Sims 3 no offense, you'd be doing your system some justice by going with a 8800GTX or even one more 9500 GT

does not matter if it struggles cause it never even got past the logo theme intro.

No, its unstable at stock speeds.


Contact XFX support, I'm sure they will send you a new one. Be sure to make a fuss and try to get free shipping out of it though.
