Default What models have had the highest binned chips?

What, across all generations, represents that 'golden' overclocker?

Which models or brands officially boast higher binned gpus?

Or:

Which have you found personally to be unusually high OC'ers?

I am intentionally not limiting the bounds of this question, you could answer with "Atari 7600 is higher binned than Atari 2600", if you want. (I had both of these at times, lol)

BFG's are pretty good OC'ers.
MSi has some good stock coolers for cards to help with OC'ing,
EVGA is just win

Typically... the higher models?

And the super clocked versions, XXX editions, etc...

Perhaps this was a silly question.

Is there a specific model of say, 9800gtx, which you could point to and say "these are the world record holders"...?

I would imagine that Gigabyte's GTS250's have great overclocking characteristics.

This one in particular

http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=1571

(Aftermarket cooler, higher amount of copper in PCB...etc)

EDIT: I'm unsure of the binning of these cards though

I don't believe cards, memory, or cpus are binned unless they fail initial testing. I also don't believe in Santa Claus.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. I mean, an i7 950 is probably better binned on average than an i7 920 but those differences don't really exist in graphics cards. I'd suggest though, that the premium editions (SSC/FTW, Black Edition, AMP!, Lightning etc.) would have a better chance of being well binned because they are overclocked. Just a guess though.

Obviously, if a product is selected as being better than others it would help sell it. Following this fact and knowing a marketing department would have zero reason to hide the fact that it's been set aside from the others as being superior, can you link me to anything from Intel that's ever stated these are binned? Even a hint at them being selected for their superior clocking ability? Think about it If you were selling a product that picked out the cream of the crop to sell at a premium, would you A) not tell a soul and prevent others from telling anyone....or B) Scream it from the tallest buildings and plaster it all over every advertisement for the product?
