im not sure where to post this but i would like to know if i can use the ViVo feature on the 7800gt to play xbox360 on my monitor using the pc ...now i know i got a plasma tv and all but i would like to have better sound quality and only have 1 set of speakers
what i need to know is:
1) can it be done
2)what programs will i need and
3)will it work under windows 7
4) will it work even though i have ATI as my main gpu?

any help would be much appreciated and i dont have a monitor with any of those special hookups otherwise id do that...

EDIT: a side note is i used to play my ps2 like this a while back but forgot what app i used for that

Theoretically speaking it can be done, I can't remember the software to use, but I do know that you're not going to want to do this. ATI essentially started this trend with the earlier All-In-Wonder cards, but anyone who wanted to play anything on those systems had to deal with tremendous lag. Add in the 360, and you have yourself some issues.

My recommendation, and I apologize if you have already attempted this, is to get the VGA adapter and use the additional port on your monitor for your 360 (assuming you have a spare VGA port). I wouldn't do the video-in route, but if you need help I will try to find some good software that might work.

it didnt lag with the ps2 so i see no problems here... and how would i make one of them vga ports?

I should have been more clear. If you have a dual input monitor (DVI/VGA), use the DVI for your PC and the VGA for your 360.

yeah i have one and only but i need to know how do i make the vga port for 360 to connect to monitor ...or is there one i can buy?
