Default Quick F@H question

First I'll say I'm not sure about the section in which i posted, if its wrong feel free to say but I thought it'd relate to my graphics card so y not.

Alright so I've been wondering I started folding around august when I got my sig rig together and everyday I only get about 300 points or so for about 8hours or so of folding, and I've been wondering is that a reasonable score or it's low for my EVGA Gtx 280 and my GeForce 7300LE 256mb, the 7300 I use only to plug my 2nd monitor as my GTX 280 ports are all taken, I doubt the 7300 does anywork but the 280 I've just been wondering if 300points/8hours is low for the card.

So basicly that's my question is 300points/8hours a normal, average score per say for my gpu

Thx for all input =)

No

24/7 you would see 7-9k on the 280.

well it's not exactly 24/7 but even for 8hours I'm VERY far from that 7-9k could it be because I run other things at the same time like normal everyday applications and the occasional game for an hour or two ?

Normally when you have two opposing model cards in the same system, the stronger will downclock in F@H to meet that speed - however, the 7300 cannot fold, period. And when you play games and fold at the same time, the folding application will severely cut back on it's GPU usage.

300 after 8 hours is horrendously low for that card, however. As a test, try pulling out the 7300 and running F@H on that card while you are out of the house for a few hours, and see how many points you're getting then.

Also which client are you using? Using the console client will net more PPD than using the one with the nVidia viewer or the system tray clients.

As has been stated though the GTX 280 should be doing a whole lot more.

Alright well thanks guys, I'm gonna try going with the console client if it doesn't seem to help I'll try and pullout the 7300
