Ok i need to know if a 8400 can run my desktop @ 1080p. No gaming just internet and stuff maybe some streaming movies? I dont wanna lag

Yes. You might be able to even run movies in 1080p, depending on if the video player you are using supports graphics acceleration.

I suggest going for the 9600 in case you have friends over that wanna play over lan.
And you can watch HD movies with it.

I dont think the 8400 can handle HD movies

8400 would be fine for HD Video at them resolutions

so long as the rest of the pc is decently speced, cpu/ram

how ever if you can afford it go for the 9600, would be even better
