Default safe temps for GTX 280

Load temps for dragon age is 62 C

Is that acceptable? Seems like its running a bit hot

That is not too hot at all, i know a guy who has an EVGA GTX 280 and during stalker: clear sky it got up in the 80s.


62C is a good load temp.

thanks +rep. Borderlands only run around 52, so I thought my 280GTX was acting up or something.

62ºC is on the cool side for load temperatures for high end air-cooled graphics cards of any brand/model.

GTX280 you mean, there is no 280GTX. Anywhere below the mid 80's is what I would call safe.

When OC'ing keeping the temps below 80C is key.
At best keep them below 70C if you can.
Your temps are good.

Aye-aye, this is correct. Unlike CPUs, GPUs can take heat pretty well; I'd say up until 95C maximum.
