Hi OCN,
I just slapped a Sparkle 9400 GT into my sig rig. I'm pretty sure my P4 will bottleneck it like crazy, but will I see any significant performance gain over my geforce 6800?

EDIT: A point of quick clarification based on DuckieHo's post. Your P4 will not bottleneck the card. Your system and performance will be bottlenecked by your P4 in current games.

I believe the 9400GT will be better.
I doubt a P4 will bottleneck an entry level card.

I'll be playing Halo 2 Vista and a little bit of counter strike source. really, this was all i needed. i just wish i couldve gotten the 4670 instead, but but it was overpriced $110!

If anything, your ram will bottleneck you.. If in fact you're running 266mhz ram still.

RAM frequencies don't really matter that much...

sorry for the dbl post (im on my phone) but i bought it at compusa which is why i regret not waiting and just getting the 4670 online. still the little time i used it, it was great, fanless design really cut down on noise.

I think the 6800 still is better then 9400GT. 9500GT ~ 8600GT and 8600GT was not much faster then 7600GT and 7600GT ~ 6800
