Default So I'm an idiot (GTX 285) (Got It!!!!!):D

Well, I decided I wanted a video card (finally) and I got permission from the significant other to get one. My original budget was about 170... then I remembered the GTX 285 from Best Buys outlet. so after tax and shipping it came to 305, after my 20 bucks I get back from PayPal it will come to $285 for me.... I'll post screenshots and stuff after I get it (sometime next week). For the price I paid for it (so long as it works correctly and everything - I may have to get a bios for it as apperently BFG installed the incorrect bios on it) I did very well. Knowing my current res is 1680x1050 and I likely won't be going 1080 or higher anytime soon I know I'm an idiot.... At least I'll be folding nicely :-p Anyways - I'll update as soon as the thing comes as to my experience with it.

Woot, Got it!!! I'm gonna play around with it, and I'll post back with some screens and stuff. I logged into WoW maxxed out - and I'm very pleased!

Processor is a little slow to let that thing show its true colors. But should last you and will be a very large upgrade.

If I'm not mistaken the 285 is equivalent to 2 8800's in SLI + ~10-15%, no?

In other words; welcome to high graphical settings, man!
