If you're loaded with cash, yes.

If not, then no. 3xx will probably be better, but will cost a bomb, knowing nVidia.

GT300 cads will still take a while
I wouldnt expect consumer/gaming cards to hit before March, and expect a hefty launch price

edit:
agreed, GT3xx will probably be better than the ATI 5xxx

Why not wait? Are you having bad fps in games atm? Also I would wait for the price drops if it ever happens. The cards go up 5 dollars every week.

I think if you can save up the money, wait for the 3xx series. Your GX2 is fine for now. I think i read somewhere people were estimating the Fermi cards almost $1000...?

Considering the 5970 is about $650 US, and Nvidia wins at overcharging and making freaks of GPU nature, they look at $1000 dollars and say, "Why the hell not?"

That's an underestimate. Insider sources have pricing at $1399 for the GTX380 model and $999 for the 360.

i wouldnt be surprised if nvidia makes us pay 1000 bucks for the cards...

remember GTX 280 used to cost 500 bucks and now you can get a used one for like 160...

I wouldnt hold your breath for those dumb fermi chips.

For 1399. I could build a real solid computer, with a i7 and and a single 295

Thats horrible.

Oh well, the only reason why i'd wait for the gt300 personally is because it could make the ATI prices decrease a little.

Anywho, i'm getting 2x 5770's for xmas so :P (paying for 1 myself obviously)
