Default What is a 7950GT equivalent to in the Geforce 8 series?

I am putting a 7950 into my friend's rig (got it for 30 so its a steal). What would this card be equal to? I am thinking an 8600GT

I'd say the 7950 is about 2 8600gt's combined.

Somewhere between an 8600GTS and a 8800GS would be my guess.

Some stuff I am reading right now are putting it closer to the 8600GTS.

It's better than a 8600GT for sure...

That depends on which x1950 you're talking about. It's not as good as the XT or XTX.

My 7950GT did alright in most games except Crysis. It only had a slight problem where it would overheat to 130C and throttle.
