i'll set up my website so anyone can download it. right now i'm just trying to get the iso under 700mb so it can fit on a cd rather than a dvd.

i will probably have to remove virtualbox

Downloaded and burnt iso, Booted and fail. Doesn't find my dvd burner Nec ND3540A so it drops me to a basic shell This happens with some distros, Slackware for example. Tried it in Virtualbox and it works just fine

Trying this out has really made me want to make a 64bit version using the Larch scripts, I'll do it tommorow for definate.

but for some it could be ock - nicks

I was pronouncing it the first way, oh - see - en - icks, but I can see using the second one too. Not so much on the third one.

ok, burning now. got it down to 691mb. had to remove virtualbox and wine.

will be testing in my vm in a couple of minutes.

Since this project is really just starting, I think it would be good to give everyone a shot, and decide later, if possible.

As for using LiveCDs: The best thing would be to have a LiveCD with an install option. You may only want to use it on a temporary bases. Say you just got a computer, and before you install windows and appropriate drivers, why not pop in a CD and make sure everything works and maybe do some overclock test driving! Or perhaps you want to Fold on a computer temporarily. Use a school computer to fold until they notice

Otherwise, install it? (We would need to figure out an install script, though.)

As for prime95, can you find an open source Linux equivalent? I can't find one. But a friend of mine created a (faster than superpi) pi program that could be added. :P

Doing it with Larch scripts means you can use the default Arch installer or Archin instead

As for prime there is the new beta that runs 4 cores, All i can find license wise is that it is freeware
