You can't have compiz running without 3D drivers, which you have to set up yourself first... otherwise, we would have to have many versions of each build, to accomodate various graphics drivers....

Um... it is OCNix, lol.... also, there is a stable build... I have been running OCNix for ~ a week now.... see also the downloads thread.

As for setting up drivers, you do it yourself.... not too hard to do; if you have nVidia, just go to their website for the drivers and step-by-step instructions... nVidia believes in open-source

I have installed Compiz-Fusion, It just needs enabling in autostarted applications once 3d drivers are installed.
