Default Version Numbers

Hi. So since this project will be lasting, I think we should reform the version #'s (at least of Version2's OCNix) to reflect the updates to the Kernel.

so like, OCNix Version #.#-7.10 or whatever. This would only be for technical documentation and whatnot, shorthand could just be OCNix v.1.2. It would be nice to have an official standard for all the releases.

Kinda petty but lets put this forum to use =P

Make sure to update the readme reflect the build number as well, in case someone forgets what build they are using...

What about bug submissions? That should be a sticky in this subforum....

I'm a huge fan of including the date with the build. Maybe something like:

OCNix v 0.1b-Feb. 7th, 2008

b=beta

lol so how about
OCNix 0.1b-7.10|2-12-08
where 0.1 is the version, b is beta, 7.10 is the kernel, and the rest is the date lol

=P kinda long, again, only for documentation. but having it be the formal standard.

I love it but there is a problem. Only us Americans put the month before the date.

So most people would read "The 2nd of December, 2008" and since our 64-bit guy is from across the pond, this maybe an issue.
