Don't run it as root.

More importantly: Don't download the 64bit version. OCNix is currently 32bit only.

I'm actually using Ubuntu 64-bit at the moment. About to start folding for a team and I wanted to use SMP. ![]() However... I still get the same problem... does it not work in Ubuntu? Quote:
I tried installing using the F@H website instructions... but this happened: Quote:
It's there by the way. Just sitting there staring at me...

Okay so I did some research and found out I need ia32-libs to run the SMP... so I tried to get them...

I don't know why your getting a permission denied when trying to download from the F@H server. Would be an issue though between you and the sever and not the installer. The problems after that then I think are just caused as side effects of the first one.

Guess what! Apparently Ubuntu 64-bit doesn't have repertories automatically enabled. ... Why?
Any way, installing updates and ia32-lib and I'll try again momentarily!

You should change the installer to get beta2 instead of beta 1 and append the -smp flag to the exec bit of the installer. A problem i have found on xfce is that if you add the -smp flag to the shortcut it just doesn't work
