I just read the TOS and nothing Im offering would violate, Im not advertising a site, I don't host anything for $$ or offer commercial services for $$..
Basically My dedicated server is for a gaming clan site and a Mod of an old popular FPS, which pays for everything with donations. Been hosting them on a Linux box for 7+ years and I usually offer out unused space and bandwidth on occasion since I never go anywhere near my 3TB cap.

hey guys, anybody interested in moving off to Xfce 4.6 ? I find it a lot more stable functional and good looking compared to Openbox/LXDE.

With QtCurve GTK theme, it KILLS visually and still uses only 114mb RAM on boot.

I'm down for whatever works. Can you do a XFCE theme? I've played with it before but I'm most familiar with KDE3 and Gnome.

As I said, you dont NEED to do an Xfce theme.
QtCurve default theme as of now looks GREAT and can only become greater.

The only THREE things you need to make it look more professional are:

1. A launch menu button for Xfce
2. A good wallpaper which does not look dull
3. Mention the OS name in cool looking font in Conky.

Does someone want to make a basic build directory tree? If we change and go with Slackware, I have a minimal live CD that I've been working on that could easily be molded into OCNix.

I need a username and password for sourceforge please... so I can upload the custom kernels. at this point I'll just upload a 64bit kernel as I don't feel like cross-compiling (or rather learning how to) at this point

We should try get this on the go asap. I'm itching for a new distro to try and arch looks like it may be it, I just don't want to have to backup everything and start reinstalling (did that two days ago for debian-jaunty transition). I'm itching to try either Arch or Gentoo but don't want to get dropped to command line and have to pick my way up

I prefer Arch over Slackware. Arch is always updated and has latest packages, all vanilla and unpatched, and at the same time its rolling release. Perfect for benchmarking and performance.

Only reason I stated slack was that it seemed like everyone kind of disappeared and if I was going to end up making something, its the only distro I have experience making a live cd from.

But looks like we don't have to worry about that now
