Exclamation Who wants some jobs?
HACKhalo2 and I were talking and he mentioned getting some people for certain tasks. So let's get a clear list of who's doing what.

This is the list he brought up:
  • Kernel Compilers (for AMD and Intel x86 and x64 custom kernels, and the Generic and possibly a LiveCD kernel)
  • Programers to update/upgrade the software included in OCNix
  • Testing Rigs

Additionally we have people working on specific pieces of software, such as the FAH installer and the conky config.

If you want to volunteer for any of this, please do so! Even if its something not listed here, we need any help we can get. If you are someone who is going to take this project seriously and is willing to dedicate time to it, post here and PM me for more info and so I can set you up on our sourceforge.

I'll update this post with an official list as it comes together.

I might as well start this off:

Aside from trying to coordinate this project, I'm going to contribute as much of my programming ability as possible.

I know what a few others are working on, but I'm going to let them post here themselves so I'm not volunteering anybody who may not be able to work on this anymore

I don't really know anything about programming but I'd be willing to test things. Not sure if it'll really help but I can run it in a virtual box to make sure stuff works.

A linux distribution created and maintained by the OCN community. The distro is geared towards benchmarking, stability testing, and system monitoring.

Well it's under the Linux, Unix board and its in the OCNix board so I figured it was for OCN's very own Linux distribution.
