You have to take your mobo out to install it.

Not sure o compatiblity, However at 6$ it doesn't hurt to buy it anywyas

I've never had a cooler where you have to take out the mobo.. Hmm, I don't know if I want to bother with it. Is it once you have to take it out? You don't for a reseat?

Its so you can attach the mounting bracket to the bottom of the mobo
