Evostream? never heard of those models...

I know you should avoid the OCZ ModStream, ProXStream 1000w, Game Stream 700w but they discontinued them cuz they blow so much.

But their new EliteXStream, ProxStream, GameXStream and stealthxtreme kick ass though.

But i'm guessing these evo streams won't blow up like the old mod streams.

You should avoid anything made by FSP (GameXstream, ModXstream) 700W and up and especially the 1010W GXS. The StealthXstreams are the same FSP platform but at 600W and below ripple isn't much of an issue. The ProXstream and EliteXstreams are all very good (the Pros are noisy though).

Last time I checked, they hadn't discontinued any of the GameXstreams.

For the Modstreams, I had kind of figured they would be decent since they are made by the same manufacturer as the ProXstream (3Y) which tested well, but I haven't seen a review on them and it seems like they aren't the looking good according to the user feedback.

3) If you're running x64 OS and have more than 3GB ram installed but windows is only reporting around 3GB, Go into your bios and enable Memory remapping.

Meh. I actually saw this last night but it looks like you beat me to the post.

Btw a lot of the bad reveiws seem to be about the very thick cables that could most likely be replaced fairly cheaply.

Seriously though, I am going to have a quite lare case with not much in it and good airflow. The thick cables look very nice(at least to me).

Hopefully they don't go out of stock before I get mine =x

the thick cables are not a problem actually they could be a bit longer though IMO... use a hairdryer and heat the sleave up a little and it bends very easily ... and to boot once the cool they hold the shape you bent them at ...

I totally forgot about that review. They seem to be about the same as the Prostreams like I had figured. For those who have bought one, what's the fan noise like. Loud fans can be a deal breaker for me.
