How noticeable would changes be if I upgraded from 7.1CH integrated motherboard sound to this with Z-5500s? (At the moment I have an Audigy 2 ZS, but will most likely upgrade to a new computer soon)

If you're using the optical out and using the DAC on the Z-5500s, not very. Not for most things anyway. For gaming you'll probably notice, especially in games that actually use the latest EAX.

Sound quality is about the same with the Auzentech having better sound but other then that, not much change. Still has an X-Fi chip and same console.
