Bah, the new CompVR subwoofers are nothing like they used to be. I suppose this is a good buy for someone who has a trunk and is tight on cash.

Holy crap!

Kickers are expensiveeeeeeee.

Just about the best subs you can get (unless you want solo X's).

My Sony's aren't bad at all. I want Alpines though...

iono about them being the best subs.

i've had a lot of subwoofers, and some kickers too, but my JL is definitely better than any kicker out there, but then again it also cost about 3x more (1 of my subs cost more than this whole enclosure).

i'd say kicker is probably one of the best, when it comes to giving you a good KICK for your money

yeah the old school kickers were the stuff.

Not a hot deal at all.... the subs themselves can be purchased for ~$75/each and it only costs ~$30 to make your own custom box which will be exponentially better than and prefab box

Besides, CompVR's aren't that great. I had 4 in a wall in my Blazer (before I sold her ) off an MA Audio HK802SX and only did 153.4 on the dash.
Granted that system was meant to be a cheap POS that would just put up numbers, but it struggled to even do that!

IMO, the only subs worth getting are TC Sounds, DD (3500 and 9000 series), Treo (CSX ONLY!), or older JL's from the late 90's early 2000's.

Since my Caliber SRT4 has about 0 hatch space I had to drop down to 2 JL 12w3 v1's off an MB Quart RAA1000 amp. Nothing awe inspiring but still does a 148.7 on the dash

Yeah, there are better deals out there. try out sonic electronix they got some good deals. Comp VR's aint that great, they are a nice cheap solution, but JL's are AWESOME. I also love my 2 12" type-r's they sound great, i know there are better out there though.
