looks just like a gigabyte board lol, with the dpeeds those slots run at and the way it scales runnung 3 4770's would be about the equivilant of 1 4850, great job asrock. have a look at the msi one, slightly better but you would be better off with a decent 2 way

It overclocks like a dream. No joke, I got it. There is a ton of good reviews all over google. here is one on overclocking.
http://www.pro-clockers.com/reviews/?id=166&page=9 I promise its a solid board. And it doesnt matter what anybody comes here to say if they have never touched one. I build hundreds of computers a year. That is part of my job! this board is a fine board, But i still wouldnt triple crossfire on any board

Here is another one where as the asrock out overclocks gigabyte and asus. This is the AM2+ version of the exact same design and board. scrolldown to the chart. The same cpu was used on all boards
http://ixbtlabs.com/articles3/cpu/ph...ocking-p1.html BTW my am3 had MOSFET Heatsinks but really who is gonna overclock that high in a small case?

But I bet it would be a good folding board if it isnt DOA when you get it.

you tell em' smasherbasher! Wait, Doesnt that go for any board? Are you telling me that Asrock boards are the only ones that come DOA? I bet MSI boards never come DOA, huh? Did you know that the main cause for DOA products is from shipping? Here maybe you can learn something useful.... Have you been keeping track of the fail rate of Asus and gigybyte lately? My job kinda depends on good components because i loose time and money. I would much rather get a board or component DOA than have it fail after a few months or so after I send these products home. Better yet try to RMA a board after the warranty. I have had 3 Asus boards go out in the last 6 months and customers dont like to buy stuff that messes up on them in a few months. They tend to recall stuff like and it sticks with them, sooner or later you wont be selling many computers. Have have been using Asrock for 1 year with none going out yet out of many budget builds, and let me tell you that I barely ever get any budget computers back with bad hardware. So far I havent ever RMA'd a biostar board which i have been using for 3+ yrs. Some people say they want this and that, "I got to have Asus" bla bla. well the last guy who insisted that, I still got his computer waiting for his replacement board.....6 weeks! Anyway man i build, touch and handle more computers then i could ever remember, but that wouldnt matter. Not to people with name labels stuck in their head where their brain should be, cant really see anything but those awesome brand name labels!

Asrock boards are not going to make any WR's, but for a mild overclock they are fine. But this board is kinda pointless, anyone who can afford 3 video cards for tri-fire can afford a few dollar more for a 790gx based board with 3 full 16x PCI-E.

http://www.neoseeker.com/Hardware/Pr...m/reviews.html if you cant go by all the sources and actual users of the board then I dont know what to say. I have never used Asrock before the am2 version of this model, I dont know why people have such a time accepting that this is a good board. I guess they cant see a few feet past their eyes, Only big time labels get their attention

I own Aspect Computing. www.aspectcomputing.com \we are an ebay silver power seller, an OEM Microsoft partner and build custom machines. I have been using Asrock mainboards for over a year now almost exclusively.
__________________1. I have had ONE RMA in over a year of using a variety of different model Asrock boards. I build 5 to 10 PC's a week. 2. I have found that for running/installing Vista, Asrock EXCELLS in every area needed for simple day in day out computing and multi tasking. 3. They have severa AMD boards that are IDEAL HTPC boards and have yet to need any technical or warranty help from them regarding any HTPC set ups. 4. Have built several "High End" gaming systems using Asrock and have found they will overclock MILDLY well, are extremely stable and fully reliable. They are what they are. There is no need to compare them to an "enthusiast" board as that is not the market they were designed for... but for the money they offer decent performance and features that some high end boards do not even have. One of my favorite Asrock boards, the 780GXE is a fantastic little board that absolutely rocks with a quad 9950 and dual 4870's... you can easily put a system together like this one with 4 gb RAM, a 1TB HDD and a decent burner in a mid line case for around 600 bucks and they will play pretty much ANYTHING on the market right now. So fellas, I own no stock in this company and really have no dog in the fight here but wanted readers of our forums to know that Asrock is a decent product for its price range. Chris

Exactly, most Asrock boards are not designed for hardcore overclocking. Asrock is Asus's budget department after all. My board for example, it only has 4 phase power and no mosfet heatsink, while the Asus P5Q has 8 phase power and mosfet heatsink. So on the same chip it'll probably oc higher than the Asrock.
