How hard is it to move your mouse in a straight line...?
I mean, on some of those first ones... you have to try to be that off...

The MX Revolution is a great mouse if you are not a "hardcore" gamer. Great for office and every day use. My only complaint is that its a tad too big for serious gaming, and no matter how good wireless is, it still will have higher latency and is subject to interference compared to a corded mouse. I owned a MX revolution, and swapped that to a Logitech G7 which was a bit better. After a while the G7 started randomly disconnecting etc (no idea where the interference is coming from). I now have a G9, and couldnt be happier with it.

You're judging this mouse on how well you can draw a straight line? You just got it to be honest, does take some getting used to ergonomically..... If you want to draw a straight line, get a wacom table, a ruler, a voila .... straight line in any direction (or just hold shift).

I don't see how it's too big for gaming? Logitech's on the average do seem to be bigger, but it's comfortable and functional, and that's what works for me. But whatever, to each their own. The G9 has been really cheap lately.

The straight line shows how inaccurate the mouse is. You can see how smooth and close my old mouse is, but as soon as i use this new mouse, regardless of the size and everything it goes crazy. Hell it even goes backwards at times. Normal use it would be annoying how i move to click something and then it jumps around too much for me... and im 2 feet from the receiver.. i might have had a bad one or something interfering... maybe my wireless router... they both run on 2.4 ghz... oh well... bought a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826104178 and returned the other to Bestbuy.

That's what I had before my MX Rev, it's a good basic corded mouse.

I used to have an MX Revolution, great mouse, I don't really care if people say it isn't good for gaming, it always worked great for me and I've done my fair share of FPS competitions.

dude, even with your old mouse, those straight lines are terrible.. that must be you, or something wrong with your mousepad or something weird. I just tried to do that 4 times and I didn't get anywhere close to as off as you.. not once. I almost did a straight line on my own.. tried fast, and slow.

the MX-518 is a great mouse, I love mine.
