the win741 deal only seem to offer the home edition yet i have seen a couple posts around the net that indicate one can also get professional with this student deal. Any one have any insight as to this appearent discrepancy?

I see a bubble that has you choosing 32 bit or 64 bit.
__________________You have to choose one or the other? I thought the Pro edition was like the Vista Ultimate where you get both 32 and 64 bit.

Yes, you can only choose one or the other. The link to download it is only for the version you chose (32-bit or 64-bit). Getting both the 32-bit and 64-bit discs could be the case for the retail box version (I don't know for sure) but not for this digital download student version. You don't actually get anything in the mail unless you opt for the disc for $13 extra, which is still just a disc and not the retail box.

Upgrade (ignore the red oval it's just the screen shot I had on hand), as you can see by the title. After you verify your email and click the link to buy that is where you are taken (the screen shot below).
![]() There is a bit of a hassle to get an ISO created: link. Though the easiest way is to put it on a flash drive: link. Below is how I clean installed and activated my 7 Pro Upgrade: In the beginning of the install, select Custom instead of Upgrade. Near the end when prompted for the product key, don't enter anything and click "Next." When in Windows, click the start button, right click "Computer" and click "Properties." Scroll to the bottom and click "Change product key." Enter your upgrade key and activate Windows. Dance around the room throwing the money you saved in the air. ![]() Note: Last step optional.

Do they sell full versions at discounts? I need a full version and my mother goes to college.

because you need to have a previous version of windows to do the upgrade... I've always run linux and now window 7 RC as free options. I have no version to "upgrade"
