Please read and understand these rules before posting in the Online Deals forum. These rules supersede all previously posted rules and are part of the Terms of Service of Overclock.net.

1. All members may post in this forum. It is intended to share good deals on computer and other tech gear from online retailers and major local retailers. eBay links may not be posted unless the auction is a fixed price format (eBay store or starting bid equaling Buy It Now price) and the seller is reputable. You may not link your own eBay auctions as this violates the TOS.

2. Threads titles should start with "Deal: " or "Coupon: " as appropriate and should include relevant info such as item, retailer, price, and rebate, if applicable. Some examples of acceptable thread titles are "Deal: ATI HD27235478 for $1,500 after MIR at DoesntExistYet.com" and "Coupon: 10% off CPUs at blahblahblah.com". Please be descriptive. See this thread for more information on proper thread titles in this forum. Make use of the preset thread prefixes to make this more convenient.

3. Do not include general one time discounts when computing prices to list in thread titles as this gives an artificially low price for most members. For example, the $10 off dicount for new Google Checkout users at Buy.com should not be included in the thread title, though it could be listed in the body of the thread for the few members who have not used that service. The same goes for retailer credit card sign up offers.

4. Do not post deals that are contingent upon providing personal information to a company. This includes things such as "free sample of XYZ if you sign up on XYZ.com".

5. Once a deal is no longer valid, please change the thread prefix to Expired: and close the thread with the Thread Tools drop down menu. Periodically, closed deal threads will be moved to the Completed Transactions forum.

6. Deals the have attached "Referrals" which benefit the OP are not allowed and considered "SPAM" are not allowed.

7. This forum is not intended for the discussion of the items listed. If you have questions about the item, please post in the appropriate forum. Discussion should be limited to the deal, e.g. if the price is good, if a better price is available online, etc. This is not the place to post that you hate rebates. All such posts will be deleted.

8. Overclock.net does not endorse any of the deals listed in this forum. These are merely for the convenience of our members.
