Default Server 2003 Stansart Edition

Hi all,

I have question!

I have a Original Server 2003 I buyed with 5 Licenses!
I have 2 in use!

my question is:
Is these Server OS more stable in overclocking as XP or is it likely the same?

Another question:
What is best Windows for any Overclocked Rig?

Thanks for Answers!!!

Statistic shows that Windows XP is the best environment for overclocking but that doesn't mean that Windows Server 2003 can't do better. I have used Windows Server 2003 and I see indeed it's more stable and do not need often patches for bugs. Kernel is from NT 5.2 makes sure it's very stable because it was design for server (and in fact, server installed with Windows Server 2003 costs more than servers with Linux and other brand).

So, overclocking should be similiar or even better with windows Server 2003. It depends more on the hardware though. Windows XP statistically is the best Windows for an overclocked rig.

Hope that help.

There's not much difference. 2003 has more secruity bells and whistles and a beefed up kernel. But effectively it will perform the same in an overclocked enviroment. I run 2003 enterprise at home and have had no issues and get the same OC's as I did in XP.

Hmm...
Sounds good!

What about Windows 2000 Pro SP4 ?

I worked with Win2k a long time and never hab problems with it on this Rig:
Athlon 1000MHz @ 1330MHz with Selfmade cooling
256MB Infineon SD-Ram 133MHz
ASUS Mobo with Via KT133 chipset ( thought )
250W Fortron Source PSU

*The complied Rig burned down because of thunderbolt*

Win2K will also be fine. jrabb runs win2k on most of his folding rigs which he has OC'ed.
