Steam not working in Vista
Happening for anyone else? Have in it set to run in xp SP2, but still freezing while trying to load the steam platform.

opening and closing it a little. Mine updated... then updated.. then updated some more, seems ok now. until i closed it and re-opened it a few times i had problems

thats why you dual-boot with XP... Vista is amazing, but not for last-gen games...

First Time Build
|
This happened to me in vista - what I did was I REMOVED steam from the exceptions list in windows firewall and then I ADDED it again myself. Started up steam and it loaded up instantly.

try maybe deleting the clientreg.blob file?...seems to fix every other problem

clientreg.blob seems tto be making it fail. I delete it but once it updates to 26% it comes back and steam stops again
 EDIT: IT WORKS NOW!!!Just clicked it today and when itgot to 26% it minimized and came back up and went all the way
