Hey guys,

While i wait for my P5b deluxe to come back, i fixed up an old OLD compaq. It has a p3 500mhz but i put in 512 ram and a different video card. Works fine but its kinda slow. Anyway i put kubuntu on there and to be honest its great.


Its a computer i can use in the meantime even though i have 2 other laptops i just like using a computer most of the time.

Anyway to overclock this thing, The bios is so old it does not even have support for usb keyboards before it hits the operating system.

I dont know. I plugged in a new dvd burner i got from newegg and when it turned back on it did not work. I tried everything and it came down to the board.

Is it possible that the drive built up static from the peanuts and bubble wrap and when i plugged in it did something?

I cant think of anything else.
