By the way when I turn on my PC, after the asus logo comes up, I hear 3 beeps followed by this:

"cpu fan error!

When I PC restarted I got this message:

Is it just with a certain file or file type, or is it with any file regardless of type?

Yes, I know, but are you trying to open the same file in each player?

You can always dual boot, best of both worlds.

Check to make sure your Fan is connected first of all. That gives me concerns. If all is fine and it's one of those cheapy two pin fans and it's all spinning fine then post what it says in the dump files at the bottom for us.

OK I updated my BIOS through ASUS BIOS Utilities and Memtest passed. Still the same thing. It happens only the 1st time when I start windows then it is fine after windows crashes and restarts. By the way this is what I found in my BIOS if it helps:

"BIOS Hardware Monitor

Vcore 1.296
3.3v 3.232
5v 4.966
12v 11.880"

I have not overclocked or did any changes to my BIOS. These are defaults.
