Default Whats best for crysis? XP or Vista ?
Just wondering if Vista 32bit is better suited for crysis over XP 32 bit?

Trying to improve FPS...

My machine finaly ran up against something worthy heheheh.

well obviously vista will support DX10, but that will stunt performance. Not sure about the Vista vs XP performance in DX9, but i'd go for Vista as you'd get DX10.

vista has dx10 but i think xp will have a slightly higher fps in crysis

theres only 1 way to find out ... lol google it HAHAHA.....

Supposedly, Crysis performs better in 64-Bit Vista. Whether or not that's true, I dont know. I remember reading how the game is "optimized" for that sort of OS.

But due to Vista's lackluster gaming envirionment, I'm going to say it'll run better in XP. I havent compared the two personally though.

What you can do, is run it in XP which a small part of my brain tells me will be a bit faster and force the Very High settings.

Huh I've heard the exact opposite......

Anyway, I don't see much of a difference at all... except it looks slightly better.

Dual booting right now.

XP Crysis is much better with some high settings. Vista64 forget about it... DX10 makes no difference. It's medium or lower with Vista. It's not a slight performance hit, it's a BIG performance hit... Also tried the 32bit version using Vista64, same problem, runs like crap and stutter city. Tried various drivers with the same results.

Buddy, go for 64-bit Vista and run the game in DX9. Blistering performance even on slower AMD 64-bit dual-core procs. I would know :P
