Default Which OS - I know its been asked 23984 times - 4GB RAM

I have 4GB of RAM. I have 64-bit proc. I know vista sucks, have been there and moved back to XP. I am using a streamlined custom XP - most of windows crap is removed, a 200MB install vs 600. Does Vista have a fix so 32-bit can use my 4GB, or does XP64 or Vista64 have better performance than their 32-bit counterparts. Which is the best today. No guides exist online after the release of vista lol. just lookin for guidance, please no VISTA ROX0rzz!!@1 posts, just looking for performance info. Thanks in advance.

PS - Leaning towards vista , but I dont want to sacrifice my 4GB of RAM.
PSS - I dual boot linux, whichever distro I feel like at the moment, changes often, so my tech level is high.

Actually from what I hear Vista x64 is very stable (much more than XP x64), even more so that the x86 edition...but I'm not completely sure on that.

Get Vista 64 bit. You can use all 4 gb's and have Vista. And with your 4 gb's of RAM Vista should run fine.

I love it, I was kind of worried at first but I got it anyway and I love it. Some apps don't work but every major application works and all the games I have installed so far work.

Don't say vista sucks on this forum... You'll have the vista defend-o-maniac squad so far up your ass....
