The easiest way to burn isos in windows is to download ISOrecorder. It is an addon to windows built in cd recording, it adds a context menu to windows, so all you have to do is right click an iso and click burn iso to cd, and you have a burnt cd in just a few minutes.

Once again, nice guide here. I actually referenced it on how to burn an iso because I couldn't remember how.
One thing I think you should add, however, is a chart that breaks down all the different types of CD and DVD discs, like DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, etc. I was just in the store trying to figure out what format to get. I didn't realize there are THAT many. I've attached a PDF I dug up that shows what I'm referring to.
