There was a lot of crap to start with, incompatibilities and low performance and such, but those have all been patched away. Vista seems to have fewer problems that XP for me these days, so I'd say go for it.

Is the upgrade to vista worth it at this point? That's what I wanna know. I can't deal with crappy gaming right now, since that's all I do on this computer.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

I love Vista. There's a rather steep learning curve coming from XP (took me about a week), but then it's easy as taking candy from a baby. Granted, there's always the few kids who will scream for their parents as you make off with their lollipop, but hey, you got the candy, what do you care?

If you HAVE to buy a new OS, then yes, Vista is worth it.

If you are talking about upgrading when you already have XP, then I would have to say no.

While it is a much better OS IMO, I would not pay extra just to get it unless I was building a new computer.
