Default Always high % fragmentation

On my Windows disk, i always have roughly 40% fragmentation. I use O&O Defrag which does as much as it can. I even did a boot time defrag to move Windows files, but nothing.

When i inspect the red blocks, it shows that the fragmented files are:

C:\System Volume Information\{a7806464-701b-11dd-86e2....(massive string)}

All my games and apps aren't fragmented, it's just these files.

Any ideas what they are and how to fix this problem?

I'm wondering if it could be system restore files, i'm not sure where they are stored or why they wouldn't be able to be defraged though.

I thought so to, is there anyway to configure system restore so it only keeps the last point, not all the points before that?

Hmm. I believe that is an option but I don't know, I always turn system restore off.

ahah. Found the bugger.

I did a "Windows Disk Cleanup". The file was some temp stuff stored when i accidently went into hibernation mode instead of shutdown.

I guess it wasn't removed as when i did it and tried to come out of hibernation, i got the NTLDR error. So i just rebooted and it worked

I spy blue blocks now and only 5.00% fragmentation
