Some part of Microsoft's web site is always broken. I'm not at all surprised.

OK this is the deal.. I have a HP computer right now with Vista Home premium 32bit. If I order the replacement CD for 64x version can I install it onto my new rig? I can probably spiff up a way for them to send it to me even though I have a royalty OEM or w/e... But I just need to know if i'll be able to install vista on my new rig with the replacement media...

I just used it with my dell comp i bought from walmart. seemed to work. charged me 30$ bones, didnt charge shipping which is odd being that i live in alaska. although it didnt tell me if i got the 32bit or 64bit media disc, or if they are both on the same. we will see i guess. oh and i have vista home basic 32bit.

question, what is the best way to back up media files? i would like to save my 11,000 songs before i upgrade my OS and lose them all. i have two HDD, would i be able to unplugg the aftermarket one (with all my media files on it) and install the upgrade then plug it back it? i went from xp to vista with this hdd and didnot have to reformat the drive.
