If you have a retail or an upgrade version of Windows Vista, go here and put in your Product Key. Cost is $10 shipped.

Most OEM keys won't work with the above site, but you can try it. If yours doesn't work, go here instead, where all OEM keys are accepted:

Media Replacement for End Users of System Builders (US/Canada only)

For other countries, check the list here.

One of the valid reasons for media replacement is:
Upgrade/downgrade from 32/64-bit Windows

Now the unfortunate part is it costs $30 shipped (in the US).

But at least there is a (relatively inexpensive) legal option for 32-bit Windows OEM users to get their 64-bit discs!
tried this doesn't work with imagine cup key nt though

The one to order media for retail licenses was common knowledge, the one to order media for OEM licenses apparently was not. Why Microsoft distinguishes between the two for purposes of ordering replacement media is still a complete mystery.

Interesting--I've been in quite a few debates regarding this in a few threads, some of them quite heated... This should be stickied along with BFRD's sticky regarding OEM Clarification in the Windows forum! error10--maybe you can PM BFRD regarding this? Not sure what has to happen to get something stickied...

I think somebody other than the OP would have to recommend it! I won't disagree though.

Awesome! I got the retail x64 upgrade, but I'm very glad they added the option for OEMs!

Yes, you can get 64-bit media. However, the OEM license is still tied to the original computer, so you can't use it on another rig. It's meant to upgrade the original computer to 64 bit. And no, it doesn't change the product key; you use the same product key.
