I've been waiting three months to get myorder of the retail Ultimate x64 disc (and still waiting). It's supposadely on backorder. Ended up just using a friend's disc.

DONT PAY FOR THIS!!!!!! DO NOT!!

Okay now that I have your attention. If you have vista and a 32bit key you can upgrade to 64bit FOR FREE for the same version. And its LEGAL. When installing the OS enter your key and it should work. For those with an upgrade version this can still be done.

you have to install the OS twice though with the upgrade. First time install without a key (vista lets you do this) then go to reinstall it with the key. This works ive done it myself.

I believe that MS itself has released LEGAL Iso's of vista to download. Im also not 100% sure but I dont think its illegal to download or have the iso as long as you have a legal key.

Its not like you have not bought the software if you already have the key.

If you find these mythical ISO downloads of Vista anywhere on Microsoft's web site please post a link. I keep hearing about it but nobody ever actually posts a working download link.

Im about to order one 64 bit version of Vista home premium 64 but ive went as far as entering my CC but no mention of the typ media im gonna recieve just says End User Media Replacement CD.What if they send me a another 32bit DVD?

Then you yell at them until they send you the right disc. But I'm still waiting for mine.

Did you select the Upgrade to 32/64 bit option? It should come out fine.
