hmm, iv'e never had this problem before, and i couldnt find any information on the net about it, but when i exite a game, call of duty 4, i find that vista aero has turned itself off and put itself onto vista basic color scheme. Iv'e only had the problem for a bout 3 days now, but in the 5-6 months iv'e had this computer, i have never had this problem, it is really frustrating...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will it Aero turn back on automatically later?

Some programs/games do not support Aero so Vista switches to basic. After the program have shout down Vista should automatically re-enable Aero.

for the last 4 months whenever i played cod4 it didnt happen, has only started happening a few days ago.... and it doesnt go back to aero, i have to put it ack manually

Check the properties on the shortcut. Go to the Compatibility tab and uncheck "Disable visual themes" and "Disable desktop composition".
