Well guys, thanks for hanging in there with me.
I didn't need to use that iso, I just reinstalled Linux, restarted, and then choose to boot into W7. Back to square one.

GRUB's data in the MBR is pointing to the rest of GRUB, which has been removed.
Boot from your Vista disc and at the installation screen choose "Repair Your Computer" Choose the OS you're repairing. Quote:
EDIT: Oh ok, nevermind then.

When i want to format, i use gparted.... i put Ubuntu 9.04 on a thumb drive with Unetbootin and boot that up and run: system-administration-partition editor... you can shrink partitions and format and delete and create partitions... it is very easy to use....
Unetbootin is really easy to use too... http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ After you load unetbootin you simply check the box at the top that says Distribution and pick what you want and it downloads and creates the usb thumb drive for you.... just got to make sure you have the correct drive selected at the bottom... it is really cool... ![]() EDIT: OOPs reason i brought that up is because i used that to shrink my Win7 partition and when i was done it wouldn't boot, but all i did was pop in the win7 disk and do a repair and reboot and it worked again....

Hey guys, I'm back. I reinstalled Mint, and then used it's startup options to boot into W7 and it worked. Except this morning I tried to go onto W7 again, and it's showing the same grub error. I'm confused what to do. Download the iso and burn it onto a disc? Then restart with it?
I don't even want linux, why is it giving me all these problems?

I have been, and it's usually some random linux forum with linux users discussing how to fix this problem if the person wants to continue using linux. I however want to get rid of it.
Also, I downloaded the iso, and it's just a zip file with some folders in it. No iso image is in there. What am I suppose to burn onto the cd? God, can't I just wipe my entire HDD clean and start over? I hardly care about anything in my W7 profile, it's just random files I don't need. But I'm afraid if I delete the W7 partition, I will just be in the same place I am, minus a good OS as a back up. *20min later* Grrr, can't I just buy another HDD and install an OS on that, and then delete everything on my current one? This can't be all that difficult to just delete everything...is it?

Edit: ok i just booted from my super grub disk that i got from the link that i gave you and there is an option to fix windows install. once booted you will be presented with a menu choose:"choose language & no help" then "english" then "windows" then "fix boot of windows" then "syslinux" then select your hard drive and press enter and it will take a few seconds and then say "SGD Successful" from here you can press enter and choose "halt pc" you should now be able to remove the cd and boot into windows.

As has already been explained time and again, restore the Windows MBR and delete Grub.
Here's how. And here's another how to.
