I didn't upgrade to XP until I built my Athlon X2 4600 rig. I was going to upgrade to Vista on this rig, but I didn't like it, so I kept using XP. I usually don't upgrade OS unless I build a new rig, but I might upgrade to Win7 if the final release gets good reviews.

Well yeah...you're using XP...I'm using Vista. Adobe CS4 requires Vista SP1 to be installed on a machine running Vista.
